Job Title – Tangen Draw Biology Optimization Lead

The Biology & Data Lead for Tangen Draw is a hands on role responsible for optimization,
research, development, analysis, correlation & documentation of strategic ranch biology.
Priority objectives will include soil health, forage diversity and volume, forage & livestock
nutrition, water & carbon cycles in irrigated, native range pastures, pollinators, wildlife & ranch
ecosystem. This key role involves close coordination with the ranch operation team to
complement and coordinate grazing and farming operations.

Tangen Draw raises, markets and delivers Great Tasting Nutrition Dense Grass Finished Dry
Aged meat from all Natural Cattle and Bison. We manage our farming and grazing operation to
regenerate our rangeland and for low stress grazing of cattle and bison. The ranch operations
are 12 mi north of Big Timber, MT. We are committed to a culture of integrity, total quality

Roles and Responsibilities include:
 Operation, optimization & continuous improvement
 Lead soil and forage analysis and optimization initiatives
 Select and apply additives, cultures, seeds for multiple different pastures
 Coordinate with ranch operations for desired irrigation and grazing schedules
 Measure, analyze, adapt & improve
 Track key metrics against plan, correlate cause/effect relations
 Evaluate and trial alternates for cost/benefit assessment

Work conditions: You will be working with a talented and collaborative team focused on delivering and continuously improving world class natural meats and environmental regeneration. The inventory and shipping facility is located on the ranch (we love it here on the ranch but this is not a conventional city office environment). The packaging and office space has HVAC. When working in cold storage freezers the temperature is -10 F. Inventory management can require carrying 50 pounds or more for short distances.

Compensation: To be determined based on experience. On ranch housing may be available.
