Position: Farm Manager

Job Description
Description: The Farm Manager is responsible for planning and executing all on-farm operations with a
focus on regenerative ag practices. The Farm Manager will develop and oversee farm associates. In
consultation with the Manager, the Farm Manager will develop a farm operations strategy to achieve
farm goals.
Duties
• Oversee cattle, hog, and hen production
• Forage and pastureland development
• Develop and oversee farm associates
• Maintain and develop property, equipment & infrastructure
• Support on-farm events
• Work with others in different disciples
• Continuously learn and participate in training others
• Contribute as a member of the farm management team
• Stay within the operations budget

• Relationally adept
• Team builder/player who thrives when working independently
• Familiar with and committed to regenerative ag principles
• Physically able to perform strenuous manual tasks in all seasons
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience – several years in a similar position with a successful enterprise is preferred although
well qualified applicants with experience in lesser roles will be considered

Schedule
• Always responsible for farm operations although may delegate duties to qualified associates on
off days and vacation
• The schedule is results dependent.
• Plan work during the week to minimize work on Sundays

Compensation
• Employee or independent contractor
